Men, Women More Different Than Thought

Tell me something I don't know.

I'm OK!

I wasn't going to talk about this but it seems that the whole world knows now, so what the hell.

Yesterday, I was set to have some dental work done. Before anything was to commence, the hygienist too my blood pressure. As I had not been in the dentist's chair in years, I was a bit nervous. Little did I know how nervous - my bp was through the roof.

Less than ninety minutes later I was in my doctor's office. He took another reading and it had gone down significantly (I was probably numb from the shock). My pressure was still elevated slightly but nowhere near what ot had been.

Most likely, my high pressure is the product of the recent elections, which for me is the most stressful work day of the year. Whatever the cause, I have begun a drug-free treatment, namely a new diet and exercise regimen. Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated.

Not Bad

Saturday was a good day for me, despite David Fa-Kouri's loss. To have Martha Jane Tassin re-elected in the primary was worth it. Greg Accardo is in a runoff and is in great shape.

My "ticket" didn't fare so well because the establishment reigns in Baton Rouge. Sadly, the council will likely look exactly the same as the past four years except for District 12.
